-The YDA Sindh strongly condemns the attempted murder of Zuhad Ahmed, IT Incharge at Civil Hospital Karachi. This heinous act has sent shockwaves throughout the medical community, and we demand immediate action from the authorities.
Today, a YDA Sindh team, led by Chairman Dr. Mehboob Noonari, met with Dr. Khalid Bukhari, Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital Karachi, to express solidarity with the hospital staff. The team included prominent YDA Sindh members, such as Dr Qalb Hussain Senior and Founding Member YDA Sindh Dr. Mehran Shar Vice Chairman YDA Sindh, Dr. Rana Dildar Vice President YDA Sindh, Dr. Ammar Danish President YDA JPMC Dr. Muhammad Ali Spokesperson YDA JPMC, Dr. Khalique, and Dr. Anand YDA Civil Hospital Karachi.
YDA Sindh demands:
1:- *Immediate Arrest of Culprits*: We urge the authorities to apprehend those responsible for the attempted murder of Zuhad Ahmed.
2:– *Security for Healthcare Workers*: We demand that the government provide adequate security to all healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, particularly those who have taken a stand against corruption in hospitals.
3:– *Implementation of Security Bill*: We call upon the higher authorities to pass and implement a security bill to ensure the safety of healthcare workers.
4:– *Black Day Tomorrow*: YDA Sindh will observe a black day tomorrow in all hospitals across Sindh, and our members will wear black ribbons in solidarity with Zuhad Ahmed and all brave healthcare workers.
They stated that, YDA will not tolerate any form of violence or intimidation against healthcare workers. It is the Government’s responsibility to ensure our safety and security.
