The Young Doctors Association (YDA) JPMC and YDA Sindh held an emergency meeting today, headed by Dr Mehboob Noonari Chairman YDA Sindh and attended by top officials address security issues in Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
Key issues discussed:
– Daily brutal attacks on Doctors in JPMC, including in the Emergency Department
– Security Incharge and administration’s negligence
– Shortage of medicines and shortage of nursing and paramedics staff
YDA office bearers Demands:– To form a committee to investigate security officials negligence.
– Suspend security officials, including Security incharge until inquiry report is complete.
– Resolve shortage of Medicine and staff to prevent patient management compromises.
YDA Chairman stated that yda delegation will Meet with Executive Director JPMC to address these concerns and will never compromise on safety of Doctors and patients health.
Dr Mehboob stated that YDA will give Ultimatum till demands met an otherwise YDA will protest if demands not met.
