Karachi: Renowned social activist, Nazia Adalat, has called for urgent measures to organize the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) processions and rallies, particularly in the areas of Mehmoodabad, Azam Basti, Manzoor Colony, and Akhtar Colony, which are known for hosting the largest number of processions and rallies during the celebrations.
Nazia Adalat urged City Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab for immediate repairs of roads and procession routes, prompt rectification of sewage lines, and uninterrupted electricity supply along with foolproof security arrangements.
She also emphasized providing additional facilities to those setting up reception camps along the routes.
She further highlighted that these areas have a significant Christian population.
In this regard, she called upon Catholic Bishop Benny Mario Travis, Bishop Frederick John of the Church of Pakistan, and Major Samuel John of the Salvation Army to issue directives to the Christian community, encouraging them to participate and cooperate in promoting religious harmony during the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) processions, rallies, and programs.
