A thrilling Night Tape Ball Cricket Tournament, organized by Sindhu Club Dokri, concluded with great fanfare after two nights of intense matches featuring 27 teams from Mehar, Radhan, Naudero, Larkana, and surrounding areas.
The final match, held in memory of the late Ghulam Muhammad Bhund and Ustad Munawar Ali Shaikh, took place on April 20, 2025, between two of the best-performing teams of the tournament. In a one-sided showdown, Team Sindhu emerged victorious and clinched the championship title.
The grand final was graced by Abdul Hameed Jisr, Chairman of the Town Committee Dokri, and Habibullah Khokhar, a respected councilor, as special guests.
On behalf of the Dokri Board, the guests were presented with traditional Ajrak shawls, symbolizing the rich culture of Sindh.
The winning team received a cash prize of Rs. 35,000 along with a trophy, while the runner-up team was awarded Rs. 17,000 and a trophy.
Additionally, the chief guest Abdul Hameed Jisr generously awarded Rs. 5,000 to the winning team and Rs. 2,000 to the runner-up team.
The event was praised for its excellent organization, sportsmanship, and promotion of cultural heritage, setting a high benchmark for future local sporting events.
