KDA Employees Union held an emergency meeting under the leadership of Chief Organizer Syed Imran Hussain, During the session, Union President Muhammad Abdul Maroof stated that the delay in disbursement of March 2025 salaries for KDA employees and the delay in Rs. 3 billion special grant for retired employees is unacceptable.

He emphasized that during the union’s current two-year term, they have ensured timely salary payments.

He further said that KDA Director General Altaf Gohar Memon, Director of Finance Shakeel Siddiqui, and Secretary KDA Arshad Khan must be informed that despite today being April 22, the salaries of workers from Clifton Recovery, KSC, KNC, KCC, and other departments have not been paid.

General Secretary of the KDA Employees Union, Qamar Abbas, appealed to Sindh Minister for Local Government Saeed Ghani stating that the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) requires Rs. 570 million for salary payments.

He respectfully requested that the current grant of Rs. 400 million be increased to Rs. 600 million to ensure timely salary disbursement to hardworking employees.

Whereas, Union’s Information Secretary Yasir Ali Khan, said that while the KDA Employees Union hold CBA (Collective Bargaining Agent) status, it effectively resolved matters with the administration.

He reiterated the union’s unwavering support for KDA workers and officers during times of distress and reaffirmed their commitment to continue raising their voices for employee rights across all platforms.

The KDA Employees Union office bearers strongly urged the administration to immediately release the pending March salaries for all employees .
