Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) Chanesar Employees, Senior leaders and office bearers of the Peoples Labour Union District East met with President of Peoples Labor Bureau Karachi Division Aslam Samoo at the KMC Building office.
The delegation included Engineer Ashraf Baltistani (Central Vice Chairman), Rizwan Shad (Central Deputy General Secretary), Syed Hassan Abbas, Syed Muhammad Kamran, Syed Mohsin Abbas, Ghulam Haider, Saeed Ahmed, Syed Shehzad Zaidi, and Masood Bhai.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the basic issues faced by the employees of Chanesar Town.
In response, Aslam Samoo assured the delegation that he would soon meet with the Chairman of Chanesar Town Farhan Ghani to discuss and resolve the workers’ issues in collaboration with the union representatives.
He added that consultations would also be held regarding the formation of a union in Chanesar Town, as the Pakistan Peoples Party has always stood with the working class.
He emphasized that the Peoples Labour Bureau Karachi Division despite its short period of establishment, has rendered significant services for the protection of workers’ fundamental rights. The presence of labour unions in all seven districts of Karachi and 24 Town Municipal Corporations is clear evidence of their efforts.
Samoo further stated that, after consultations with Chairman Farhan Ghani, the formation of the Peoples Labour Union in Chanesar Town and the announcement of its office-bearers will be made soon.
On this occasion, Peoples Labour Bureau Karachi Division official Ameen Baloch was also present.
