A delegation of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Pensioners Welfare Association, led by Mr. Iftikhar Ali Khan, met with Shakeel Khan, In-Charge of the Medical Cell of KDA, to discuss issues related to medical facilities for serving and retired employees.
During the meeting, Iftikhar Ali Khan highlighted the concerns of pensioners, particularly regarding the new requirement of submitting a Family Registration Certificate (FRC) for the issuance of medical cards.
Mr. Shakeel Khan attentively listened to the delegation and provided a comprehensive briefing on the organization’s policy.
He clarified that the FRC requirement is mandatory for all—both current employees and retirees—without exception.
The primary purpose of this condition is to maintain verified and authentic data of all employees and their families.
He added that this measure will enhance transparency in the system and help prevent the misuse of medical facilities.
Mr. Shakeel Khan emphasized the organization’s commitment to developing a robust medical system that ensures no malpractice occurs.
He assured that efforts are being made to provide quality healthcare services on a permanent basis and urged employees to cooperate, even if it involves a bit of inconvenience.
Iftikhar Ali Khan appreciated the initiative and stated that employees recognize and support such reformative measures.
He assured full cooperation from the KDA Pensioners Welfare Association in promoting transparency and improving employee welfare.
