Provincial Tobacco Control Cell Sindh with the collaboration of Office of The Superintendent of Police Traffic Police District Central arranged an awareness session on Tobacco use hazards and tobacco control laws .
The Session was attended by the traffic police officials and personals from different traffic sections of district central karachi, The Coordinator Tobacco Control District Central shed light on tobacco control laws and discussed about the role of traffic police for enforcement of tobacco control laws at public service vehicles (PSVs) i.e Public Buses, Coaches, Auto Rickshaw etc.
Inspector Sohail Ahmed Focal Person for compliance on tobacco control laws in district central on behalf of traffic police central asked all the participants to play their active role for tobacco control laws compliance at PSVs and also assured that traffic police will impose fine on violators of tobacco control laws.
At last Mr. Tanveer Qaimkhani Provincial Coordinator Tobacco Control Cell Sindh expressed thanks to District Administration Central and Traffic Police Central for their commitment of a tobacco free district central and later he also awarded certificates to all the participants.
