On the instructions of Administrator DMC East, Syed Shakeel Ahmed, steps have been initiated to provide municipal services before Shab-e-Barat and especially Ramadan.
A meeting of DMC East and other institutions was held before Shab-e-Barat and Ramazan in which officials of Water and Sewerage Board, Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, KMC participated and they were obliged to take steps to solve the problems of cleanliness, water and sewerage before Shab-e-Barat and Ramadan.
On this occasion, Administrator DMC East, Syed Shakeel Ahmed said that the work of painting the trees in and around the cemeteries has been started from today in connection with Shab-e-Barat, while for other municipal services, DMC East will be provided facilities to the residents of District East before Shab-e-Barat and Ramazan, as far as possible. Dmc East can solve the problems on its own, they should be carried out, but other institutions including Water and Sewerage Board will have to play their role so that problems can be provide relief to the citizens through mutual coordination.
He said that tankers should be provided for water supply at every graveyard on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat, letters have been written to masjids in which problems have been asked from them, while banners will be displayed on masjids and Imambargahs in which the numbers of the concerned departments will be recorded so that they do not have to face difficulties in case of any complaint.
We are serious about providing municipal facilities, so instead of putting the responsibility on each other, we will do whatever can be done, we are ready to cooperate as far as possible.
