Syed Tayyab Hussain Hashmi, Chairman United Labour Federation of Pakistan, including other office bearers in their May Day message said that all working people in Pakistan need more solidarity than ever before because unity is the key to success.

May Day teaches us a renewed commitment to stay united and organized, to work harder than ever before in our respective institutions, departments and circles, to increase productivity, and to put our own institutions on the path to further development.

In that case, it is possible to increase the benefits and wages of working employees.

Also, on this important day, the top officials of the government institutions should ensure this and implement the government’s announcement of minimum monthly wages.

The dues of retired employees should be paid as soon as possible. The present government should announce the labour policy this month on the occasion of Labour day.
