Chairman CBA and Joint Action Committee of House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC) in their letter to Group Head HR of HBFC asked for removal of Managing Director/CEO HBFC Imran Ahad and termed his posting illegal.
It was mentioned in the letter that,with reference to the Office Order No. HR-782/2024 dated April 19, 2024, which stands nullified after the opinion of the Ministry of Law & Justice vide F. No 477/2024-Law-I dated September 09, 2024 conveyed through Ministry of Finance vide F. No. 6(2)/IF-II/2013 dated September 27, 2024
The office of Managing Director/CEO is currently occupied by Mr. Imran Ahad illegally as the office order stands nullified after the directives of the Ministry of Finance and there is no Office Order and the directives of the Ministry of Finance allowing the extension in the tenure of Mr. Imran Ahad to occupy the office after April 18, 2024, mentioned in the letter.
Whereas, Joint Action Committee Office bearer stated in the letter that remuneration, perks, and benefits are being illegally enjoyed by Mr Ahad since April 18, 2024 at the expense of HBFC incurring loss and causing legal ramifications for the organization.
They stated that, It has come to our knowledge that 2 meetings of the Board of Directors (BOD) have been held to discuss the matter of Mr. Imran Ahad after the receipt of the aforementioned letters of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Law & Justice.
Joint Action Committee Office bearer urged to circulate Office Order and directives of the BOD in compliance with the laws/rules mentioning the effective date of extension/re-appointment along with the tenure of occupying the office of the Managing Director/CEO to clarify the legitimacy of Mr. Imran Ahad as the Managing Director/CEO of HBFC.
Presently, the occupancy of the office of the Managing Director/CEO, remuneration, perks & benefits extended to Mr. Imran Ahad are illegitimate, they added.
Whereas they urged to get the office of the Managing Director/CEO vacated and hold the remuneration, perks & benefits extended to Mr. Imran Ahad till the resolution of the matter.
