Youth urged to use their leadership skills to fight for a better system and raise their voices in order to address the current challenges facing Pakistan.

Former ISI chief General Hamid Gul’s son, Muhammad Abdullah Gul, made these remarks during a seminar titled “Challenges Facing the Youth of Pakistan” organized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in collaboration with Paigham e Pakistan at Jinnah Sindh Medical University.

“Pakistanis are a very intelligent nation,” Gul said. “We have proved ourselves in every field, whether it is sports or defense.”

He urged young people to be optimistic and to work hard to build a better society.

In this regard, the Vice Chancellor of Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Professor Dr. Amjad Siraj Memon, said that Pakistan is our identity and we will make every possible effort for our identity’s respect and status in the world.

“Young people do not need to be disappointed,” Professor said. “Struggle for a better society with firm determination and focus on knowledge and skills.”

Registrar Dr. Azam Khan thanked H.E.C. and Paigham e Pakistan for organizing the seminar and said that Muhammad Abdullah Gul had a candid conversation and lit a candle in the hearts of young people that will surely illuminate the entire society.

In the end, Professor Dr. Kefi Iqbal, the Chairperson of the Student Council of JSMU, thanked the distinguished guest and stressed the need for think tanks to be established in every higher education institution.

The seminar was moderated by first-year MBBS student Sameen Saeed, while the recitation of the Holy Quran was done by first-year MBBS student Zubair Ahmed. A question-and-answer session was also held at the end of the seminar.
