Karachi: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) JPMC held an emergency meeting to discuss pressing concerns,
YDA delegate includes Dr Mehboob Noonari Chairman YDA Sindh Dr Mehran Shar Vice Chairman YDA Sindh, Dr Ismail Achakzai Social Secretary YDA Sindh, Dr Ammar Danish President YDA JPMC Dr Zulfiqar Soomro GS YDA JPMC, Dr Muhammad Ali Spokesperson YDA JPMC , Dr Mahrukh VP YDA JPMC Dr Asghar Social Media Secretary YDA JPMC, Dr Shahjahan and other members,
Following Agenda discussed in the meeting;
1. Security and safety of doctors, particularly the recent physical violence against a female doctor in JPMC ER
2. Shortage of medicine, nursing and paramedic staff in ER
3. Timely release of stipends for House Officers and Postgraduate Trainees
4. Faculty promotion issues
In the meeting it was decided to meet with the Executive Director to discuss these issues
Whereas YDA office bearers Demand for the formation of an inquiry committee & suspension of security officials responsible for Doctors safety
YDA office bearers emphasized to bridge the gap between faculty and administration to resolve promotion issues
However, YDA JPMC office bearers urged for prompt action to address these concerns and ensure a safe and functional healthcare environment.
