The Young Doctors Association of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (YDA JPMC) held a productive meeting with Dr. Shahid Rasool, Executive Director of JPMC, to address critical concerns facing the hospital and its staff.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ammar Danish President, Dr. Muhammad Ali Spokesperson, and Dr. Shehryar Shaikh, senior member of YDA JPMC.
During the meeting, YDA JPMC delegation congratulated Dr. Rasool on his return and pledged full support for his initiatives to enhance hospital services.
The association advocated for improved security by deploying 25 well-trained, retired army personnel as guards through the Safe Hospital Project.
YDA JPMC delegation emphasized on the need for a JSMU Laboratory unit within the Emergency Department to provide free, emergency testing services to patients.
The association stressed the importance of ensuring timely stipends for House Officers and Postgraduate Trainees.
YDA delegation proposed abolishing the current food court contracts and establishing separate, high-quality facilities for doctors and patients. The association called for the elimination of charges for parking and washroom services for patient attendants.
Dr. Rasool expressed his gratitude for YDA JPMC’s support and assured that all raised concerns would be addressed promptly. A follow-up meeting will be held to review progress on these matters.
