Karachi: A high level meeting regarding water supply and sewerage was held at Chairman Secretariat Karsaz under the chairmanship of Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad.
In the meeting, Special Assistant to Mayor Karachi for Political Affairs Karamullah Waqasi, PP Leader Syed Najmi Alam, Dil Muhammad, COO KW&SC Engineer Asadullah Khan, Chief Engineer Sewerage Aftab Chandio, Chief Engineer Water Hanif Baloch, Chief Engineer WTM Zafar Palijo including all the Superintending Engineers were present.
On this occasion, Deputy Mayor Karachi issued orders to all the superintending of the KW&SC during the meeting and said that the water supply and sewerage problems throughout the city should be solve on an emergency basis and cleaning of lines, construction of broken manholes, replacement of sunken sewer lines and other issues should be completed and better facilities should be provided to the citizens in collaboration with the all Town and UC Chairmans.
He said that the in view of the increasing population of the city, solving the problems of water supply and sewerage is included in our manifesto, therefore, all resources should be utilized for the further improvement of the city.
He further said that we are serious in solving the water supply and sewerage problems across the city, while under the new act, KW&SC has been improved and strengthened, which has started yielding positive results.
