Two armed men were arrested by Ittehad Town police after a brief exchange of fire on Farooq-e-Azam Majid sector 9/B Baldia on Saturday.A patrolling party of Ittehad town police had a brief exchange of fire with the men who robbed a civilian and was on the run, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Balida division Cap (R) Faizan Ali.
The police caught Gul Raj son of Mairaj Khan and Noman son of Tariq while another accomplice managed to escape on the spot and arrested them after an exchange of fire.
They were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical attention under police custody. The police said they were involved in street crime also recovered 2 t.t pistols looted cash and snatched cell phones from them.
Cases have been registered against them while an investigation is under way.
