A prominent socio-political and business personality of Pakistani American community, Former General Secretary of OPGF and Vice President PPP USA & Deputy Information Secretary Chaudhry Abdul Rauf Bhally, recently met with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party, and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto at the Pakistani Consulate in New York.
They discussed various issues faced by the Pakistani American community in the United States, such as the challenges posed by illegal immigration, and the need to negotiate with the US administration to obtain TPS (Temporary Protected Status) for them. Additionally, they discussed the right to vote for overseas Pakistanis living around the world for General Election of Pakistan.
Chaudhry Abdul Rauf Bhally stated that Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari supported the diplomatic activities and that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is playing a crucial role in restoring Pakistan’s diplomatic relations around the world. He further urged the need to empower Bilawal Bhutto Zardari through popular vote for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.
Furthermore, Chaudhry Abdul Rauf Bhally added that the Pakistan People’s Party believes in enacting legislation for overseas Pakistanis to represent them in national and provincial assemblies. If the People’s Party gets power, then under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari the Overseas Pakistanis to fulfill the dream of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto by enacting legislation to represent them in Parliament.
