Special Assistant to Chief Minister Inspection Team Waqar Mehdi, along with the CMIT team, visited various departments of KDA situated in Civic Center Karachi.
On this occasion, DG KDA Altaf Gohar Memon, Chief Engineer KDA Samad Jamalani, Secretary KDA Arshad Khan were along with him, while visiting the KDA Engineering Department, Special Assistant CMIT Waqar Mehdi checked the attendance register and expressed displeasure over the absent officers. He issued orders to dismiss LDC Aqeel Ahmed from the Engineering Department.
Waqar Mehdi directed the Chief Engineer KDA to ensure the attendance of all officers and employees in the department on a regular basis.
Later, Waqar Mehdi, along with the DG KDA, visited the Land Department and expressed displeasure on the absence of Director Land Asif Raza Chandio .
Expressing displeasure over the delay in the work related to the applicants, he directed the Director Land to resolve all matters related to the applicants on an emergency basis.
He issued orders to fully activate the inactive biometric system in the Karachi Development Authority.
In addition, a meeting was held with the CMIT team and officers of the Engineering Department regarding development works under the ADP fund.
The meeting was chaired by the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, Waqar Mehdi.
The meeting was attended by DG KDA Altaf Gohar Memon, Chief Engineer KDA Samad Jamalani, Superintendent Engineer Mahibullah Jafri, KDA Executive Engineers, Chairman CMIT Sheerin Mustafa Narejo, DG CMIT Abdul Salam, Director Engineering CMIT Zahur Memon, and Director Technical CMIT Abdul Shakoor.
In the meeting, the Chief Engineer KDA gave a detailed briefing on the development works under the ADP fund in various districts of the city.
All district executive engineers informed about the development works individually.
Issuing orders, Special Assistant Waqar Mehdi said that a site visit report should be prepared, while quality should be given priority.
In case of use of substandard material, the concerned executive engineer will be responsible.
He further said that the pace of development work should be further increased, no negligence of any kind will be tolerated in development works, I will personally monitor the development works and will visit from time to time.
