Sajjan Union Towns Municipal Corporations Karachi Spokesperson Abbas Ahmed has said that few corrupt officers are misleading the Chairman Jinnah Town and obstructing the payment of leave encashment dues of retired employees.
It has been 10 months since these employees retired, despite the clearance of the committee constituted by them, the employees Safia Bibi, Sarwar, Bimala, Dhani, Rashid and Zulfikar son of Mazhar are facing delaying tactics in issuance of the cheques.
While the leave encashment cases of 9 other employees Wilson, Yaqoob, Samson, Shaukat, Vethal, Polis, Arif, Ayub and Mukhtiar are also pending.
These employees met the Central President of Sajjan Union yesterday and informed him about the non-payment of their leave encashment.
Syed Zulfikar Shah warned Chairman Jinnah Town that obstruction in the dues of the employees will not be tolerated in any case and such officers will also be held accountable who are obstructing the payment of the dues of the employees by misleading the Chairman and the same situation is being created in Gulshan Iqbal Town as well.
He said that if the dues of the employees are not paid immediately, then it will be the responsibility of the town administration.
