In a significant development, the Sindh Government has officially cancelled all orders issued by the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) without prior approval from its Chairman Governing Body/  Minister Local Government & Housing Town Planning Department since January 1, 2025.

According to a notification issued by Additional Chief Secretary Khalid Hyder Shah, any directives made by the KDA without proper authorization have been declared null and void.

The move aims to ensure that all decisions within the KDA align with government oversight and accountability standards.

The notification has been forwarded to key officials, including the Director General of KDA, the Secretary of KDA, and senior government representatives, for necessary action.

The decision reflects the Sindh Government’s commitment to maintaining transparency and regulatory control over development authorities in Karachi.
