Mirpurkhas: Shehri Citizens for a Better Environment (Shehri-CBE), with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF), organized a day workshop on Youth Civic Education in Mirpurkhas.

The workshop aimed to foster a deeper understanding of the democratic process, encourage critical thinking, and inspire active participation in civic duties.

 

Rosh Mahtani, the moderator of the workshop, emphasized that civic education enlightens youth about their rights and duties. He explained fundamental concepts such as democracy, the rights and responsibilities of citizens, the role of local government, the structure of government, and the importance of youth voting.

Masud Abbas, a social and political activist, highlighted that the active participation of youth is pivotal in steering the course and fostering the growth and progress of our society.

Earlier, Sarwar Khalid, a representative from Shehri-CBE, welcomed the participants and emphasized that our youth are not just our greatest asset but also the dynamic force driving innovation, resilience, and positive change in our society.

The youth actively participated with questions and contributions.

The event was attended by students from colleges and universities, young lawyers, and educationists
