Sindh Building Control Authority Officials allegedly granted permission for the construction of shops on a parking space to the owner of “Ramzan Amna Corner” which located on plot Number 131 near Fawara Chowk , Garden West.
Sources informed that the Assistant Director of respective area and the Director General SBCA allegedly took heavy amount as a bribe for giving green signal for the illegal construction .
It was shown in the picture that the builder of said project first covered the parking space by the construction of walls, but now from last few days the walls has been demolished and fixing of shutters is continue and some shops has already given to the shopkeepers.
On the other hand Apex Court and the Chief Secretary Sindh has directed to the Officials of SBCA to ensure the implementation on building laws. As it was mentioned in building laws that there should be a parking space on every housing project.
Karachiites are facing traffic jam issue on a daily basis due to the parking of vehicles on roads as there is lack of parking space in buildings and other housing projects, because builders construct shops on parking space by giving heavy bribe to the officials of SBCA,On the time of map approval from SBCA every project owner/builder reserved and showed the space for parking.
