The spokesman of National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) has said that the power supply to K-Electric continues as usual, through two transmission lines /sources.

The 500 kV Jamshoro-NKI transmission line was affected by the impact of the recent cyclone, causing the insulators to break due to exceeding the moisture limit in the air.

However, the NTDC liveline staff promptly replaced the insulators in the shortest possible time, restoring the power supply through the said transmission line at precisely 2:10 PM. Apart from aforementioned transmission line, power supply is also continued through 220 kV Jhimpir-II- KDA circuit.

The spokesperson further added that the impact of another 500 kV K2K3 -NKI transmission line was also observed, and NTDC teams are have mobileses for its rehabilitation works. Despite that, this will not affect the power supply of K-Electric.

The speedy replacement of the insulators for the affected transmission line highlights the efficient operations of NTDC and demonstrates its commitment to ensuring uninterrupted power supply to K-Electric.

NTDC has always remained at the forefront of ensuring that power supply to all DistributionCompanies, including K-Electric.The spokesman expressed confidence that the rehabilitation works on the K2K3- NKI transmission line will also be carried out in the minimum possible time.
