Port Qasim Anti-encroachment attacked on Muhammad khan Kalmaty village under the supervision of anti-encroachment officer Zahid Sheikh when men of village had gone to job and just women and children were present who cried out and yelled on the time of attack.
Villagers came on contact and hindered eqquiped personnel but before them the had set huts on fires.
They had lathi charged on villagers and injured them and area became battlefield .
Villagers protested and hailed severe slogans against eqquiped management went away after removing all cottages and houses.
In this regards heads of village Muhammad Khan Kalmaty, Haji Babo Gabol, Gulzar Shah, Muhammad Juman Sheikh, Badal Sheikh, Yousuf Sheikh, Ali Muhammad Sheikh, Aamo Sheikh and Farooq Sheikh told journalists that their village is oldest village and exists before Port Qasim, Port Qasim personnel and Zahid Sheikh have been raiding on village from time to time but management has not issued them notice to vacate village.
They said that they are oldest residents but we have been forced to vacate the village.
They demanded to have just them, they should be indemnifed against their losses and Zahid Sheikh be dismissed.
Port Qasim Anti-encroachment officer Zahid Sheikh declined blames of villagers and said that villagers had been paid and given plots in replacement land but they have occupied Port Qasim’s land again.
He said that land matter is from 5 years and villagers has submitted documents of mentioned village in court which were fabricated so court fined 25 thousands on villagers but still confiscation has not been over.
Hence he said that they have not ignited any house just removed cottages and got land vacated.
