Residents of Falak Naz residential scheme near national highway staged protest demonstration against smoke and dust of red ore and poisonous coal godowns led by Muzafir Qureshi, Saifullah Khamisani, Niaz Soomro, Rao Rashid, Muhammad Sharif and others here on yesterday.
Hundreds of residents participated protest and hailed serious slogans holding banners and paly cards in their hands.
On that occasion lead people talked with journalists and told that they have sent many complaints applications to environmental authorities against mentioned godowns on which environmental department came visit many times and sent ultimate notices to godown owner Chaudry Hafeez and SSP Malir and demanded for action but no impact kept on the health of influential godowns owner after sending him notice even police is excusing in taking action against him.
They revealed that they have been badly suffered from dust and smoke if coal and red ore and their family members are being affected from lungs, chest infection, eyes, skin, stomach and breath ailments because of air pollution which they breathe.
They further said that due to dust and smoke coal and red ore allotties who were constructing their house have left construction in the half and planning to shift towards an other area.
