A grand operation for removal of encroachments is being carried out by the Anti-Encroachment Department on the directives of Administrator D.M.C East Rehmatullah Sheikh and Municipal Commissioner Fahim Khan in view of the orders of the Supreme Court.
After the removal of encroachments on both sides of nipa to jail road flyover in another a major operation from Nipa to Safoora Chowrangi carried out in which hundreds of encroachments were removed and dozens of illegal structures were demolished.
