A lamentable incident happened at Shah Lateef Town sector 17 where innocent child Rafiya daughter of Zulfiqar Rajpoot who was playing outside the house and suddenly fell into sewerage drain and drowned here on yesterday.
People gathered on the shrieks of child at the incident place who tried hard to take her out from gutter drain but it was too late to save her life.
A lament and mourn occurred at deceased’s home where mother of Rafiya became unconscious to see her innocent daughter dead.
On that occasion inhabitants railed about UC chairman and said that UC chairman and his councillors are responsible for today’s sorrowful incident. They said that union council members usurp the fund often they receive from District Council and do not interest to utilities them for area’s betterment.
They further said that no any particular work has been done by UC Chairman in Shah Lateef Town, majority of gutter holes are opened and sewerage water is stagnated into streets and lanes of area due to that this sad and painful incident has occurred here.
Habitants of Shah Lateef Town demanded that before happening an other incident of child drowning administration should take quick steps to cover open sewerage drain’s main holes
