To Bakra Pedi Bridge, Minister Local Government also reviewed the progress of the ongoing work on the project and made a detailed inspection, Special Assistant to CM Waqar Mehdi, PPP Leader Syed Najmi Alam, CEO KW&SB Engineer Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed, COO KW&SB Engineer Asadullah Khan, Sikandar Zardari, Zafar Palijo, Muhammad Riaz were present on the occasion of the visit, On this occasion, the CEO KW&SB while giving a briefing to the Minister Local Govt. said that the cost of the project will be 960 millions while the completion of the project will provide Liyari Town with 27 million gallons of water per day, On the occasion of the visit, Minster Local Government said that the Sindh Government is taking good steps to further improve water supply and drainage in the city, He said that all the funds of the Liyari project are being paid by the Sindh Government,
He gave orders to the concerned authorities and said that the Liyari project should be completed soon, Because this project is a gift from Sindh Government to the people of Liyari, He further said that the completion of this important project will further improve water supply in Liyari Town, Minister Local Government gave further instructions to the CEO KW&SB and said that strict legal action should be taken against those stealing water from the citizens and an FIR should be filed against them, Because we will not allow the water of the people of Karachi to be stolen.
