KDA takes government land into custody during anti encroachment drive in Gulistan e Johar

KARACHI : Karachi Development Authority (KDA) is utilizing all the resources to bring the operation against illegal occi to its logical conclusion with an effective strategy. Recently, encroachments were not only eradicated by carrying out large-scale operations, government lands were taken into custody, and a monitoring system was immediately implemented on the vacated lands.

Director General of KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah stated that government lands will be handed over to the original owners by vacating them from the encroachment mafia.

On the identification of the relevant authorities, DG KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah immediately issued instructions to take action on an emergency basis to end the encroachments in Gulistan e Johar, after which Director Estate and Enforcement Shakeel Siddiqui, Additional Director Jameel Baloch by Following the orders of DG KDA, started the operation against the occupation mafia. During the ongoing operation since yesterday, the illegal constructions were demolished through heavy machinery.

On second day of operation in Gulistan e Johar Block 6, the staff of the Estate and Enforcement department demolished the illegal boundary walls, several shops, offices and illegal constructions by using heavy machinery and vacate about 11 acres of land , taken it into government custody. Director Estate and Enforcement, Additional Director, Estate and Enforcement staff, local police, rangers and local administration were present during the operation.

Actions are being taken against the occupation mafia across the city under the leadership of Director General Karachi Development Authority Syed Muhammad Ali Shah and under the supervision of Director Estate and Enforcement.
