The KDA Mazdoor Union staged a protest in front of the DG KDA Office (Ground Floor, Civic Centre, Karachi), demanding urgent action on financial and administrative issues affecting employees.

The protesters strongly opposed the cancellation of special allowances for various KDA departments and expressed their anger by tearing and setting fire to the order issued by the KDA Secretary regarding these cuts. Demonstrators condemned the decision, calling it unfair and unjust to hardworking employees.

Their key demands included the immediate cancellation of the allowance cuts and the release of pending salaries, which have been delayed for two months. With Eid-ul-Fitr just a week away, workers voiced concerns about their financial struggles and urged authorities to address the issue urgently.

Additionally, the union called for the payment of long-overdue dues of retired employees, stressing that many former workers have been waiting for their rightful payments from a long period.

During the protest, KDA Mazdoor Union Chairman Abdul Mateen Sheikh and Joint Secretary Anwar Shaikh addressed the crowd, criticizing both the administration and the Collective Bargaining Agent (CBA) for failing to take steps to resolve employee grievances.

Union leaders warned that if their demands are not met soon, they will intensify their protests until justice is served.
