KDA Employees Union (CBA) and All Sindh Officers Welfare Association staged protest in front of the DG Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Office on the first floor of Civic Center Karachi Building over delay in payment of salaries, pension of employees and restoration of medical facilities for retired employees .
A large number of KDA employees and officers participated in the protest.
Joint Incharge of All Sindh Officers Welfare Association Asif Siddiqui,Azeem Zahoor Central Committee Member of Officers Association, CBA Union Organizer Imran Hussain, KDA Employees Union (CBA) President Muhammad Abdul Maroof , CBA General Secretary Qamar Abbas addressed to the demonstrators.
Asif Siddiqui, Joint Incharge of All Sindh Officers Welfare Association said that we have given two days to the administration to pay the salaries of the officers and the pension of the retired officers immediately within two days, otherwise we will be forced to lockdown offices.
CBA Union organizer Imran Hussain while speaking said that the salaries of employees and pension of retired employees should be paid as soon as possible and department should take steps to get the monthly grant from Provincial government on priority basis .
President of KDA Employees Union (CBA) Muhammad Abdul Maroof said that since two months, the pension of retired employees and the salaries of officers and the medical of retired employees have been completely stopped.
He urged to the Interim Chief Minister of Sindh Justice Maqbool Baqar that the grant of KDA should be increased to 50 Crores.
Whereas General Secretary of CBA Qamar Abbas said that DG KDA should do efforts to get approval of increase in monthly grant summary from Sindh Government as soon as possible and the retired officers medical facility which is closed should be restore immediately.
At last, KDA Employees Union (CBA) demanded from Director General KDA that the department should get Four crore as a loan from Lines Area Project.
