The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) is devoting all its energies to provide recreational and healthy environment to the citizens in the light of the orders of the Supreme Court (SC).

Measures are being taken on priority basis. These views were expressed by Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Ali Memon on the occasion of his visit to ST-5 and ST-15 Sector 5-F North Karachi Township.

He directed the Director State and Enforcement to hand over the possession of all the relinquished grounds to the Director Sports and submit a written report as soon as possible after formulating a strategy for resettlement of sports grounds, in the light of positive suggestions. Parks and grounds will be restored.

He further said that no commercial use of welfare plots would be allowed while no pressure would be accepted during the crackdown on encroachments and the operation would be brought to a logical conclusion.

DG KDA was accompanied by Director Land Shamsul Haq Siddiqui, Director State and Enforcement Arshad Abbas, Director Parks Muhammad Jamil, Executive Engineer Scheme 36 Aurangzeb, Executive Engineer North Karachi and other officers.
