The Section 13 of Sindh Private Educational Institution (Regulation & Control) Rules,2005 stated that, “The institution shall allow fee concession to deserving students and award scholarships to students having meritorious record; provided that at least ten percent of the total strength of the students in the institution shall be granted full free ship”.

But after the passage of almost 15 years still majority of private schools in Pakistan’s Business Hub Karachi are not ensuring implementation on the said rules.

As the sources from department informed that, Private Schools influenced the officers politically while taking action against them on violation of said rules & In some cases officials within the department allegedly get compromise by taking bribe .

However sources informed that the department has decided to ensure the implementation on Section 13 Regarding the Fee Concession & Scholarships.

On the other hand ,Director General Private Institution Sindh Dr. Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui warned to take legal action against the Private Schools which are working without any registration from the department.

A Press Statement issued by DG Private Institutions Sindh on Tuesday stated that, The Department through advertisement warned all the schools which are working without any registration in which the deadline of 15th January 2020 was also mention .

It was said in a Press Statement that, As per rules 500 Rupees Fine Per Day would be charged on the schools from the day on which they had started

Dr. Mansoob also warned the private schools to charge fee , which were approved by the department otherwise strict action would be taken against them.

It was learned that to discuss the said issue , a meeting of Directors Private School Department of all over province has called on Friday 7th February .

Whereas it was also directed by the press release, to the private schools for the submission of free ships and scholarships record on immediate basis.
