In a letter to President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Nasir Ahmed Advocate appealed him to announce 21 March as Nowruz holiday because millions of Shias, Gilgitis, Balistanis, Dawoodi Bohras, Ismailis, Bahais, Parsics celebrate Nowruz every years like the Christians and Hindus celebrate their Christmas and Diwali each years and they enjoy their holidays on their festivals.
ILF letter further mentions that the President’s announcement of Nowruz Holiday will increase interfaith harmony across country.
