Karachi;100 employees of disaster management department and other departments of DMC East has been deployed to control traffic at 21 places in district east during the busy hours in Ramadan.

DMC East is providing this responsibilities in addition as a religious duty.

Administrator DMC East Syed Shakeel Ahmed, during the inspection of the traffic control team along with focal person, Imtiaz Bhutto, said that steps are being taken to save the citizens in fasting from trouble during Ramadan.

100 volunteers will control the traffic in busy hours with traffic police at 21 places, development works are going on University Road, so special volunteers are being deployed here.

He said that the employees who will perform their duties as traffic volunteers have been trained first so that they can perform their duties in the best way with full knowledge of traffic issues, while a camp is being set up at Numaish Chowrangi where complaints will be received regarding the resolution of public problems, which will be resolved by the concerned departments. Tufail Durrani said that the employees will be given an Iftar allowance of Rs 15,000 for performing traffic duties during Ramadan.
