In the emergency meeting of KDA unit office bearers and KDA Employees Union (CBA) MQM (Pakistan) office bearers it has decided to organise grand protest on Monday 22nd July 2024 against the KDA management decision of giving Land control of KDA land to KMC.
KDA Employees Union CBAMQM Pakistan on Thursday hold an emergency meeting under the chairmanship of KDA Unit Incharge and Patron in Chief of Employees Union Syed Imran Hussain Jafri at the Union Office. After consultation the office bearers take decision to call for a grand protest against the handing over of KDA schemes to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), against which CBA will hold protest on coming Monday at Civic Center Karachi.
KDA employees will protest strongly against the decisions taken by the government, He added.
Syed Imran Hussain asked the workers to prepare for a strong protest.
However CBA President Abdul Maroof stated that KDA has issued a letter on 15 July 2024 in which the land control of three schemes of KDA is being handed over to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
We will seek justice through a formal petition in the High Court as it is a conspiracy to abolish KDA it will not be tolerated in any case, he said
On this occasion, Joint Secretary of the KDA Employees Union (CBA) Aziz Khan said that we will fight every legal and constitutional battle to save the KDA and will not give up under any circumstances.
Today is the first step, If KDA workers do not stand up for their rights, then they will be deprived of their rights forever, CBA President said.
