Karachi; Administrator DMC East, Syed Shakeel Ahmed said that green environment is a symbol of healthy society as well as the best way to deal with environmental bad effects.

He expressed these views while inspecting Bagh e Rizwan and Naryal Park in Gulshan e Iqbal Zone along with Municipal Commissioner Fahim Khan and other officers.

He directed that an exhibition of flowers including Gul e Dawoodi should be organized in Bagh e Rizwan, steps should be taken to further improve the mini zoo in Bagh e Rizwan, during the inspection of Naryal(coconut) park, he said that a feasibility report should be presented for the restoration of Naryal park, keeping in mind that work will be done to improve naryal park.For healthy activities parks should be equipped with facilities and also should be fully utilized for the promotion of greenery, it has become necessary to adopt every way to increase greenery to protect the city from the menace of environmental pollution, for which work will have to be done at the local and other levels including individual efforts.

Municipal Commissioner Fahim Khan said that work is being done for the improvement of parks in a phased manner and works will also be done for further improvement.

He was accompanied by Senior Director Tauqeer Abbas, Senior Executive Engineer Imtiaz Bhutto, Executive Engineer B&R Jamal Abbas, Irshad Zafeer and other dignitaries of areas.
