Chairman of Manghopir Town, Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, staying true to his commitment to public service, conducted a detailed visit to Union Council 1 (Wangi Goth) and Union Council 2 (Ghazi Villas) on Wednesday. He was accompanied by relevant municipal staff, who closely assessed the overall condition of the area, with a particular focus on the severe sewerage problems that have plagued residents for years.

These localities have long suffered from a lack of basic civic amenities, most notably a deteriorated drainage system. Stagnant wastewater in the streets had led to foul odors and posed serious health and sanitation concerns for residents. Despite repeated complaints, the areas had been consistently neglected in the past. While community voices were heard, no concrete actions were taken—leaving citizens to bear the consequences.

During his visit, Chairman Brohi personally walked through the streets, interacted directly with residents, and listened to their grievances. Locals expressed their frustration over the years of official indifference, stating that no substantial steps had ever been taken to improve sanitation or fix the failing sewerage system.

Taking swift action, the Chairman immediately instructed on-site officers to begin cleaning the existing sewerage lines and to replace those that had become worn out. He further ordered a complete overhaul of the drainage system to meet modern standards, ensuring long-term relief for the community.

Addressing the public, Chairman Brohi declared, “The days of neglect are over. These neighborhoods are no longer forgotten. We are not here just for ceremonial visits—we are here to work. Our goal is to find lasting solutions to public issues. We believe in action, not empty promises. God willing, you will see a clear difference.”

Residents welcomed the Chairman’s visit, calling it a sign of hope and change. Many said it was the first time an elected representative had come to their doorsteps, sat with them, listened to their concerns, and issued immediate instructions for improvement. They expressed satisfaction and said they finally felt their area was a priority.

In his statement, Chairman Brohi emphasized that every part of Manghopir Town holds equal importance for him. “No Union Council will be left behind,” he affirmed. “As long as I hold the public’s trust, every moment of mine is dedicated to serving the people. A clean environment, healthy surroundings, better infrastructure, and accessible civic amenities are my top priorities—and there will be no compromise on this mission.”

He concluded by noting that this visit was not just a formality, but a powerful message: that the leadership of Manghopir Town is now active, responsive, and fully present at every level.

The visit has instilled new hope among the residents, assuring them that their voices will not only be heard—but their problems will be solved.
