Chairman Landhi Town Abdul Jameel Khan has emphasized that Eid-ul-Fitr is a festival of genuine happiness for Muslims, celebrated to share joy and unity among people.

Speaking at an Eid Milan gathering held in Landhi Town, he stated that the purpose of such events is to come together and share the blessings of Eid.

He stressed the importance of continuing the spirit of worship and good deeds practiced during the holy month of Ramadan throughout the rest of the year.

The event was attended by a large number of prominent figures, including Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District Korangi Mirza Farhan Baig, Municipal Commissioner Muhammad Ibrahim Imrani, Vice Chairman Muhammad Imran, local journalists, Union Council Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and General Councilors.

 

Abdul Jameel Khan expressed gratitude to Allah for enabling the community to celebrate Eid in a peaceful environment.

In a heartfelt message, he drew attention to the plight of the oppressed people of Gaza, particularly children, and questioned how they would have celebrated Eid amidst the brutal actions of the Israeli forces.

He praised the resilience and courage of the people of Gaza who continue to stand strong despite severe oppression.

He also extended sincere thanks to the journalist community for attending the Eid Milan on his invitation and acknowledged their crucial role in highlighting the town’s activities.

 

Chairman Abdul Jameel welcomed constructive criticism from the media, noting that it helps in identifying and correcting shortcomings.

However, he urged that such criticism should be based on facts and not personal bias.

“Journalism becomes more impactful when rooted in research,” he added.

Whereas, he reaffirmed the town’s commitment to improving local infrastructure and services, including the restoration of public parks, enhancement of educational institutions, and efforts in water and sewerage management, even beyond their defined authority.
