During an anti-encroachment operation in Block 14, Gulshan-e-Iqbal near UK Square, the Jinnah Town Anti Encroachment’s team faced violent resistance from the staff of New Muhammadi Sheermal .
Reportedly, the hotel staff, allegedly led by Muhammadi Sheermal, assaulted the anti-encroachment personnel and attempted to hold them hostage at gunpoint.
Sources confirm that the staff used intimidation tactics and tried to disrupt the ongoing official operation.
The team narrowly escaped serious harm and informed the town administration, which has since resolved to initiate immediate legal proceedings.
According to town officials, a formal complaint has been filed at the concerned police station, and further legal steps will be taken if appropriate action is not taken swiftly.
The administration emphasized that the anti-encroachment drive by Jinnah Town has been ongoing for several months and has yielded significant results.
However, some individuals, disguised as business owners, have allegedly formed a mafia-like network to maintain illegal occupations.
The administration has vowed not to be intimidated by such elements and stated that the anti-encroachment campaign will continue without interruption.
Officials also warned that if such resistance persists, stricter measures will be put in place to ensure public order and the success of the campaign
