Two pre-quarter final matches were played in the first All Sir Johnny Dean Ramadan Flood Lights Seven A Side Football Tournament held at KMC Football Stadium, Karachi.

Shahid Memorial defeated Sir Asghar Ali by 5-4 on penalty kicks and in the second match Gaddafi Green defeated 16 Star by 5-3 on penalty kicks.

There was an interesting competition between the teams in both the matches. The players showed their full potential to win.

Speaking on the occasion, eminent jurist & Chairman Khowaja Foundation Jamshed Ali Khowaja Advocate, said that the trend of competition among the players would lead to increase in their abilities.

Winning or losing is part of the game. 4 teams have performed well.

He further said that football should be promoted at the grass root level.

Organizer Ashley Dean said that all resources are being used for the development of football.

Qualified coaches have been hired to train the players.

My mission is to produce international level footballers.

Match Commissioner Saleem Grassy, Assistant Waqas, Qayyum Coach, Khalid Baloch, Wasim Riaz, Mir Salam Gaddafi and others were also present on the occasion.

Earlier, 32 teams were participating in the tournament. The spectators cheered the players in the stadium.
