Administrator D. M.C East, Shoaib Ahmed Malik and Municipal Commissioner Ghulam Sarwar Rahpoto have ordered departments to prepare for the forecast of rain and take necessary steps for drainage of rainy water.

These views were stated by him following threat stake by the Meteorological Department and PDMA regarding heavy rains.

He praised M&E department, especially executive engineer Imtiaz Ahmed Bhutto, whose efforts are to make pumps installed at water logging sites which can be effective for faster drainage of rainwater.

He said other departments should also formulate appropriate strategies for immediate drainage of rainwater and prepare machineries and manual labour as an immediate response force.

He warned officers and officials who remain edifying in their offices or designated locations otherwise it would be counted as an unbearable act and would be carried out under E&D rules.

SE,M&E, Mubeen Sheikh, SE, Civil S. Azhar Hussain Shah, Executive Engineers civil Iqbal Mallah, Salman Memon Directors Tauqeer Abbas, A. Ghani Sheikh, Agha Sameer, Zafar Iqbal etc, assured that in case of rains they would be on the road and would make maximum efforts to dispose off rainwater.
