Karachi : Malala Fund co-founders Malala Yousafzai and Ziauddin Yousafzai concluded their visit to Pakistan this week where they held a series of interactions with key stakeholders in education, government, the development community, media, digital cultural creators, students and youth, along with advocates from the Malala Fund Education Champion Network and partners.
Tharparkar based Educationist and Chief Executive of Thar Education Alliance (TEA) Mr Partab Shivani had a meeting with Malala Yousafzai and her father Ziauddin Yousafzai.
“Girls education is at my priority and will stand for Thari girls for their education “ said by Noble prize winner and an icon of education Malala Yousafzai while meeting with Shivani.
Mr Partab Shivani had an engaging conversation with Malala on the state of girls’ education in Pakistan. The key issues that he highlighted included low public spending on girls’ education causing lower accesibility, inadequate infrastructure, and hence lower educational outcomes. Pledged to work together for improving quality of education for our talented girls.
However, during the meeting Malala praised the work of Thar Education Alliance and stressed on the importance of creating more opportunities for strengthening efforts to improve educational outcomes by collaborating with organisations like tharedualliance in the future.
Mr. Shivani shared the issues of girls faced after COVD-19 and then flood. Malala ensured support for the cause. “When it comes to Tharparkar, Thar Education Alliance comes in my mind, their work is helping to many unserved people in the regard of education.”
