KDA Watan Parast Labour Union organized meeting on the theme of “Freedom of Journalism” on the last day of 2019 at Civic Center Karachi to appreciate the contribution of Journalists for the betterment of society.
Nadeem Khan Incharge Labour Federation Pakistan of Pak Sarzameen Party, Haji Shakeel Khan Secretary Karachi Development Authority and Syed Imran Hussain Jafri Patron in Chief of Watan Parast Union presented honorary sheilds to journalists.
Whereas best performance of the year Sheild had given to Senior Journalist Makhdoom Adil.
Secretary KDA and Incharge Labour Federation Pakistan were the chief guest of event, However Senior Journalist Syed Hasan Askari, Maha Faroqui, Syed Imran Ali Shah, Taha Khalil, Syed Mehboob Chishti, Shehzad Ali and large number of journalists from print and electronic media were present on the occasion who had been awarded the honorary sheilds from Watan Parast Union.
Speaking with Journalists Nadeem Khan Incharge Labour Federation shared that, Media is the strongest pillar of state, we feel proud to appreciate the efforts of journalists.
He also added that because of Journalists we got aware about the performance of various departments.
While sharing views he stated that PSP would like to get rid of Corruption from KDA, which usually point out by the news reports.
Syed Imran Hussain Jafri said that the Watan Parast Union has started this new trend in KDA to appreciate the efforts of journalists in the end of every year, he vowed that the tradition of lauding the work of Journalists would remain continue.
