The ninth spell of rain heavily affected the District Umerkot and its surrounding areas.It may create a situation of flood which happened like in 2011.

In different areas the crops has been affected by flood, these continuous rains wiould completely damage the agrarian economy of the district.

The villagers of Rana jagir, Dhoronaro, Ghulam Nabi shah, Chhor, Kharoro sayeed, Samaro, Kunri, Sufi faqeer, Talho malho, Raja Rasti and others started shifting to the secure places.

The District administration didn’t contact to the affected people yet. The downpour water inundated the city, and enters in Soorhiya Badshah Complex, DC Office, Civil Hospital, and Thar Stand.

On other hand the District Education Officer (DEO) Bilwal Bhatti has announced the secondary primary schools opened for affected villagers.

Villagers said authorities should help and take steps to protect the citizens otherwise this monsoon spell will take the precious lives of citizens and could affect the whole district .
