Attempt to steal oxygen cylinders from COVID Ward of Dow University of Health Sciences(DUHS) Ojha Campus was foiled, security personnel caught two accused red handed and recovered two (2) oxygen cylinders.

According to the details, the security of DUHS was alert on the complaint of the contractor supplying oxygen cylinders in the Covid-19 ward.

Last night, the accused stole an oxygen cylinder from the contractor’s tent and put it in a rickshaw and were fleeing with it.

However, security personnel stopped them. The accused are said to be former temporary employees of the contractor, who was fired at the end of his contract.

The Dow University administration has tightened security after the incident. Security personnel registered a case against them at the Sachal police station.
