Libraries still have the same role as past to meet needs of study,only difference is that nowdays internet facilities have been increased, manual newspapers, journals and libraries have no competition from the Internet.
These views were expressed by Administrator DMC East Rahmatullah Sheikh during the inspection of Khawaja Shafi Dehlavi Library and Khalid bin Waleed Hockey Ground along with Superintending Engineer Salman Memon, Director Libraries Talat Shakeel, Directors Tauqeer Abbas, Zafar Iqbal, Agha Sameer and Assistant Executive Engineer Nadeem Zaidi.
Readers praised Administrator DMC East Rahmatullah Sheikh for the renovation work in shafi dehlavi library and said that they have been coming to this library many years but for the first time a great work has been done in this library which is commendable.
Administrator DMC East Rahmatullah Sheikh thanked the readers and said that they are trying to do as much work as they can for public welfare, taking steps to improve the condition of libraries to attract children and youth to libraries after which libraries are progressing in a phased manner.
He further said during visit of khalid bin waleed hockey adjacent to Shafi Dehlavi Library and instructions were issued to the officers present for betterment of ground.
