Following the 4th March 1967, the day of Students’ struggle of Sindh, Sindh Students’ Council (SSC) on Wednesday took out rallies entitled ‘Students political awareness’ and held gathering across Sindh to commemorate the struggle of students.

A gathering was held in Karachi Press Club (KPC), chaired by SSC Central leader Ali Saqlain Chandio and Hoshu Unar while chief guests were prominent economist and writer Professor Aijaz Qureshi and Masood Norani, a lawyer, both are said to be part of students struggle in 4th March 1967.

The event was also attended by Jeay Sindh Students Federation (JSSF) leader Zafar Seelro, Baloch Students Association (BSA) leader Abdullah Mir, Pakhtoon Students Federation (PSO) leader Rehman Babar and Hatim Baloch.

The leaders put lights on the history of students struggle and stressed the need of unity among students across Pakistan. Professor Aijaz Qureshi demanded the revival of Student Unions across Pakistan and said that students must be given right of politics to serve the society and nation.
Masood Noraani recalled the struggle of 4th March and said it was not only a movement against injustices of local administration but it gave birth to the movement against One-Unit.

He said 4th March is still continue as the students are taking part in the politics and raising voice against injustices with Sindh province.

However, the rallies were also taken in Nawabshah, Hyderabad, Sakrand and other cities of province to remember 4th March.
