Students in Umerkot staged a protest against the decision of Higher Education Commission regarding online classes amid COVID-19 lockdown, students termed the said decision mental torture.

They shared that due to no internet students of Tharparkar are already facing issues and it is not possible to attend online classes.

During the protest Social Activist Dileep Depal, Nihalchand, Engineer Haresh Kumar, Dr Bharat Kumar, Dolat Rathore, Advocate Jai Kumar, Bhisham, Paras Ram Karnani Sandeep Kumar, Kelash Kumar, Parshotam Gangwani and Ravi kumar Chouhan stated that we boys are attending classes by going outside place far from our houses but girls students of tharparkar are facing a lot of issues due to no access of internet.

Social Activist Dileep Deepal demanding to promote all students to next semester

Students demanded HEC to stop Online classes and promote them to new classes. Whereas they also warned to stage a protest if HEC would not waive the next semester fees.
