Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Bureau of Supply and Prices, Dr. Khatu Mil Jeewan has said that people will not be left at the mercy of illegitimate profiteers.

He said this in his statement. Dr Khatu Mil Jeewan said that profiteers and hoarders would not be forgiven under any circumstances.

Dr. Khatu Mil Jeewan while issuing instructions to the district administration said that fines and penalties should be given to the illegitimate profiteers and hoarders in accordance with the relevant act and laws.

The Special Assistant said that so far in the current financial year, more than 20,000 profiteers have been fined more than Rs. 34.6 million while in Karachi division more than 9,700 profiteers have been fined Rs. 23.6 million.

According to the report, in Hyderabad division more than 3300 profiteers have been fined more than Rs. 27 lakh 26 thousand while in Mirpur Khas division more than 15 hundred profiteers have been fined more than Rs.18 lakh 96 thousand.

According to the details, more than 2600 profiteers in Sukkur division have been fined more than Rs. 15 lakh 13 Thousand.

In addition, a total of more than 1,500 profiteers have been fined more than Rs. 2,725,000 in Larkana division.
